Call for Abstracts
The Scientific Committee invites the submission of abstracts for the HIV & Hepatitis in the Americas Congress 2017. The abstract submission categories are outlined below. Whilst the meeting will offer multi-lingual facilities (English, Portuguese and Spanish) during oral sessions, all abstracts must be submitted in English.
Abstract submission guidelines can be found here
All accepted abstracts will be published as a Supplement of a leading Scientific Journal. Abstracts will be available online from the first day of the Congress.
If the submitted abstract is accepted for presentation, one of the authors on the abstract will be required to register for the congress and present the abstract.
Given the focus of this meeting and the single-session format, abstracts are more likely to be considered for oral (as opposed to poster) presentation if they contain new information and clinical rather than non-clinical data. Abstracts which have previously been presented at national or regional meetings will be considered for this meeting, recognising that the audience reach may be greater than previously. Abstracts which are ‘encores’ of abstracts from previous international meetings are more likely to be accepted if they contain new or updated information or sub-analyses.
The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is Wednesday 1 February 2017.

Notification of Outcome of Abstract Submission
Abstract submitters will be notified by Friday 17 February 2017 of the outcome of their submission. If you have not received an email confirming the outcome by Monday 20 February 2017 please contact the congress secretariat at [email protected]. To assist us with the handling of your enquiry it would be helpful if when contacting us you forward a copy of the confirmation email you received when you submitted your abstract so that we can easily trace the outcome of your submission.
Authors who wish to withdraw their abstract at any time in the review process, should do so by writing to the organising secretariat at [email protected] and quoting the title of the abstract to be withdrawn, the name of the presenting author and if possible the reference number issued on submission of their abstract. Abstracts may be withdrawn up to and including Wednesday 1 March 2017 . Abstracts withdrawn after this date may still be published in the Journal.
